The American Institute of Philanthropy is a nonprofit charity watchdog service that researches and evaluates charities in the U.S. The group relies on donations of its members to function and does not charge any of the reviewed charities for their listing. Its triannual publication Charity Rating Guide & Watchdog Report ranks the top organizations, giving them grades A through F.
