10 Inefficient Fundraisers
A charity is exceptional when it can spend less money to raise more, maximizing the resources it can devote to its programs. However, not all charities succeed in using their donations so efficiently. Charity Navigator, an organization dedicated to helping people give wisely, created a list of 10 Inefficient Fundraisers. The charities on the list spend more than 50 cents to raise each dollar, which means they are four times less efficient than the average charity. In fact, they spend more than 40 percent of their budgets on fundraising. Which raises the question: how big of a difference can they make with your donation?
